We’re a small [yet mighty!] lifestyle brand based in the heart of downtown Rochester, NY. We’re creators, focusing on what we’re passionate about – a Vegan/Plant-Based, Sustainable Lifestyle. By offering local merchants, organizations, and individuals a place where we can all learn, support each other, and build community – we hope to inspire and be inspired, advocate for the future, and partner for positive change.
Whether you’re a vegan or vegetarian in search of your next favorite meal, or trying to find options for friends or family, or even just looking to expand your palate and learn, MetroPops has you covered. You’ll also find sustainable shopping options, things to do, and more.
We hope you find something of value and if there’s any way we can help or if you have ideas on ways to collaborate, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We’re Jason and Stefanie, the co-Founders of MetroPops, thanks for stopping by. We’ve been married for 12+ years, been living in Center City downtown Rochester, NY for the same amount of time, we’re active members of our downtown community association, and we started something called the Rochesteriat – the predecessor to MetroPops – back in 2013.
We both believe that hard-work, commitment, persistence, continuous learning, creativity, kindness to other living beings, family, and LOVE is at the heart of all that we do.
We seek to partner with folks that have similar values as us. If that’s you, please reach out to us.
My goal is to give back as much as possible and be a productive member of society with the hopes of leaving this world a much better place than it was when I was born into it.
I graduated in 2001 from RIT with a marketing degree, spent some time working on a Master’s in Social Work at NYU, and have used the last 2+ decades soaking up tools and skills from a myriad of industries including retail management, the airlines, non-profits, event management, managing personal estates for clients, and developing our own start-ups.
Each day brings a new opportunity and a new challenge. From writing content, to meeting with clients, designing websites, or even just grabbing groceries (because you know… life), I’ve usually got a coffee in hand, and am probably listening to music.
I graduated from Clarkson University in 2007 with a degree in Communication & Media. I’ve worked in business administration, office management, event planning, web design, and am also a board member of our Community Association.
Life is short – eat the [vegan] cookie.
