General Listing Info
Think of your business listing as a customizable billboard—a verified space where you can showcase your brand and tell your story.
Our listings are like prime real estate: when you invest in them, they can generate significant returns by helping you get discovered and extending your reach.
For users, our City Guide makes it easy to find businesses and content quickly. By adding clear and engaging information to your listing, you make it even simpler for people to connect with your offerings.

The more information you provide, the better we’re able to serve you. Everything is searchable, from tags, categories, to business hours, and even the description you write about what you do and offer.
We’re able to market this information to our followers and users of MetroPops, easily and quickly. This, in turn, leads to better sales, more trust, and an overall better experience for not only consumers, but YOU, the merchants.
Easily keep your information updated. With our “Open Now” search feature, keeping your hours up-to-date will help more customers find you when you’re open.
Providing an up-to-date menu will entice them even more.
Your Listing Type determines not only how you’ll be categorized and found on the site, but also what type of information you’ll be able to provide based on your type of business.
There are currently 3 listing types:
- Food & Drink – restaurants, cafes, bars, food trucks, meal service, grocery stores, catering, etc.
- Lifestyle – shops, boutiques, animal sanctuaries, museums, non-profits, podcasts, and more.
- Events – does your event have a sustainable, plant-based, educational or cultural focus? Use this!

Each listing type includes a logo, a cover photo, and a photo gallery.
- A small square logo looks best, approx. 200x200px, must be less than 600kB.
- The optimum size for pictures is 1200x900px, must be less than 600kB.
Pro Tip: We use a web service called Canva. Canva offers a FREE version that is very capable of helping 99.9% of small, local businesses with graphics, photos, and more. Check it out!
Pro Tip: Utilize the FREE resource site TinyPNG to reduce large PNG, JPEG, and WebP files without losing quality.
You have the ability to share a video on your listing! Our platform can accept video links from Youtube, Vimeo, or similar platforms. The embeded video will play right in your listing.
Essential Listing Features:
Every Essential Listing Plan includes: business name, about section, logo, gallery and cover images, a video, contact information, links to your website, and social media accounts, a map with address and directions (links to google maps with your address already pre-set), and more.
Additional features:
- SuperPower – what are you great at, what is your superpower? What sets you apart, what makes you different?
- Tags, categories, and positive global impact markers (these are all searchable), select all that apply to your business.
- Owners tab with an about section, video, and photos
- What is your Business or Organization’s Anniversary Date?
- Do you have a dedicated vegan menu? We’ll display it on MetroPops!
- A digital audit and professional support of your listing.
Essential Plans include 1 Listing.
Please note: MetroPops retains the right to approve/deny any submitted listing for consideration.
If your business already exists on MetroPops, it was added by our team. You can easily claim this listing and take over its details. When this happens the listing will receive a “verified” check mark showing that the business itself has claimed the listing! Check to see if you already have a presence on MetroPops on our Get Started page.
Once logged in, your dashboard will show your published listing, pending listing, active promotions, as well as analytics such as views and clicks.
Pro Listing Features:
Pro Listing Plans include all of the Essential Listing features as well as:
- Boosted Ranking: your listing will be at the top (or near the top) for all search inquiries for your specific category and tag.
- Featured badge
- Digital Vegan Menu creation – we will work with you to design a digital menu with all of your vegan items
- Mentions on our social
- Be a guest contributor on our Blog
- Be included in our annual Holiday Guide
- Discounts on our services
- A store tab (coming soon)
- Refundability: pro-rated refunds are available.
Pro Plans include 5 listings per month, up to 4 of which can be events. You can also have a combination, i.e. 2 business listing and 3 events a month, 1 business and 4 events, etc.).
Please note: MetroPops retains the right to approve/deny any submitted listing for consideration. We will contact you if your listing is not approved.
Our platform also serves as a marketplace for vendors to sell their products and productized services.
Approved vendors can add products to their Listings, allowing them to create their own store on our site.

Premium Listing Features:
The Premium Listing Plans include all of the Essential & Pro Listing Features as well as:
- Unlimited Listings
- The option of a website refresh on the Squarespace platform
- Monthly website maintenance
- One sponsored blog post for a year
- One month Sidebar ad
- Digital Ad creation (by us!)
Premium Plans do not have a listing limit and can be any type of listing (food & drink, lifestyle, or event)
Please note: MetroPops retains the right to approve/deny any submitted listing for consideration. We will contact you if your listing is not approved.
All Premium Listing Plans will include BOOSTED rankings with each of their listings.
This means that your listing(s) will be at the top (or near the top) for all search inquiries for your specific category and tag.
Premium Merchants will be offered MetroPops Professional Services and Promotions at a discount of 50%.
Services include: web maintenance, logo and digital ad design services; promotions include digital leaderboard, sidebar, and promoted listings.
Premium Merchants have the ability to get a prorated refund for their listing when you choose the Annual Subscription Plan only.
Event Listings
Share all of your event information including a description, photos, logo, a link to your website or ticket sales, start date and time, location with map, contact information, and more.
Essential Plans include 1 Event Listing per month.
Pro Plans can include up to 4 listings per month (5 listings total)
Premium Plans do not have a listing limit

Points of Interest
Points of Interest (POI) Listings are local attractions such as parks, landmarks or historical markers, and murals that visitors and locals alike would be interested in seeking out. These are listings that are significant for one reason or another such as historical, cultural/artistic, or for the general health benefits of the community such as public parks. They can even be as simple as very prominent and visible markers such as a unique building in a city’s skyline. POI are typically placemarkers in a community and are available to the general public.
These listings are 100% FREE and anyone can submit a POI for approval on MetroPops.
