Here at the Rochesteriat, LLC, doing business as “MetroPops“, and herein “site“, we will never sell out on our integrity. We will never rent, share, or sell our email subscriber list to anyone, anytime, PERIOD. We hold sacred the trust you give us by giving us your email address, and we promise to take that very seriously. We make this promise because we know how much you value your privacy. The following policy describes how we use the information we collect when you register your for our weekly email or visit our site. We urge you to read this carefully.
If you’d like to see more technical information and legal jargon on using this site, please see our Ts&Cs (Terms and Conditions) page.
The use of this site is FREE. We only ask you (nicely) for your email address if you’d like to receive weekly email updates. MetroPops does not collect any information except what is provided by you. We will never disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except as required to provide you with MetroPops material.
In order to make our site better, we may from time to time request other information from you. This would only be generic data – usually demographic information like income level or age – in order to tailor MetroPops to its users. We may also share this data with affiliate parties, but only in anonymous, aggregate form. For example, we may advise an advertiser that the average user of our site earns $45K/year and spends half of that on garbage plates at Nick Tahou’s. Third parties would never receive specific, personally identifiable information that calls you or anyone else out. If that did happen, just imagine how many doctors we’d have advertising on this site. You don’t see that at all – you can continue your garbage plate addiction.
Like any good business, we want to know how our site is being used. We use services like Google Analytics to determine how much time users spend on our site before moving on, what sites did they come from before coming to MetroPops, and where do they go after visiting MetroPops. All of this information is once again collected in aggregate form, and none of it is personally identifiable. We want to make sure that MetroPops provides you, the user, with the most efficient and pleasant user experience possible.
