Famed abolitionist, Frederick Douglass, spent a good part of his career here in Rochester. He is buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery adjacent to the University of Rochester campus. According to cemetery maps, the historical plot can be found in Section T, plot 26 off of the internal roadway, Fifth Ave.
