Syracuse

Syracuse is located in Central New York. It is home to Syracuse University and the Carrier Dome, which serves as the school’s football stadium.

Syracuse was named after the classical Greek city Syracuse (Siracusa in Italian), a city on the eastern coast of the Italian island of Sicily. The city was founded by Samuel Seymour and James Geddes on April 16, 1820.
